Here is GoldenEye with Mario characters.
“My name is Mario. Mario, Mario, Mario.”
The GoldenEye With Mario Characters mod, released in 2021 but updated numerous times since, with the most recent update bringing it up to version 3.17 and adding 15 more multiplayer maps, is one of those truthful “everything that’s great about modding” achievements. Not only because of the marvelously insane idea but also because of the implementation. The modder StupidMarioBros1Fan and their collaborators weren’t comfortable with replacing GoldenEye’s bad guys with Koopa Troopas. Oh, no.
To start, the dialogue has been rewritten (subtitled) to reflect the new character models. When Sean Bean played Alec Trevelyan, his line “For England, James?” made sense. “For-a Brooklyn, Mario?”
Natalya Simonova is Peach, Xenia Onatopp is Daisy, and Valentin Zukovsky, played by Robbie Coltrane in the movie, is now Wario. Without even hesitation.
There was also new beta content, recreated content, and new cheats. There are more weapon materials that can be divided into multiplayer, including jungle weapons, explosives, and full automatics from the 2005 total conversion GoldenEye: Source. Two unfinished maps were found in the game’s files, some were recreated from the canceled Xbox Live Arcade remaster of GoldenEye that was leaked online, and some were chosen to take from GoldenEye: Source.
“The new Multiplayer Maps will be released for regular Film series 007 at some point in the future,” StupidMarioBros1Fan says in a video description(opens in new tab), “but before that, we have to mess around with the Memory Allocations to make sure there aren’t any issues with the Original Characters.”
You can get GoldenEye With Mario Characters from ModDB (opens in new tab), if that doesn’t work because the site is overpopulated, you can get it from Google Drive (opens in new tab). It necessitates the GoldenEye Setup Editor (opens in a new tab) and a clean GoldenEye 007 (NTSC-U) ROM.
