Most latest Google Play system update is not Gotten by some Pixel 7 series customers
Even though the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are running a most recent October 5th Android security patch, its July 1, 2022, Google Play system upgrade is more than 90 days old. The Security Hub on these smartphones urges users to “Update this device,” according to 9to5Google. A yellow warning message advises users to “Check for updates” at the same time.
All of it is easier said than done. Google did release a 7.6kB Play system update alerting owners of the Pixel 7 series of a bug “Google Play system update is now available,” stating that it contained the “Latest Google security update. Update immediately to increase device stability and be secure.” Users were unable to get the update because of a glitch, though.
When you tap, what happens is that “When you click “get,” you are taken to a new screen before viewing a page with the headline “Failed to update” and the phrase “Updates are temporarily unavailable” in red letters below. Later, keep checking.” Furthermore, trying again later does not alter the outcome.
On Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro phones, there is a problem that prevents users from getting this update. However, not every Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro device has the Google Play system update get. Google will eventually roll out an update that will enable all owners of Pixel 7 series phones to have the most recent Google Play system version on their devices.
Go to Settings and enter “Google Play system” in the Search settings box at the top of the screen to see which version of the Google Play system update gets on your Pixel 7 (or any Pixel, actually). The version of the Google Play system update that gets on your phone is displayed in the third entry from the top of the new page that you are taken to. For instance, October 1, 2022, is written on this author’s Pixel 6 Pro.
November 7th is the timeframe for the coming monthly Android upgrade, while December 5th is the deadline for the quarterly Pixel Feature Drop. One of these planned updates could contain a real Google Play system update for users of the most recent Pixel models.
